i remember a site i looked at a few years ago . it had some guy ( geek) that took a small honda 250, ripped the engine off and put an electric motor, that looked like a large alternater. slapped on four or six batteries, and controled the speed with a golf cart speed controler.
but i can not find the link anymore. i would really like the link to the site where he bought the motor. thank you

Check out electric pallet jacks. The ones I drive at work are battery powered, and have plenty of power to haul a 3,000# jack, 2,000# pallet, and my fat ass.
Would just take some gearing.

that is what i am talking about. here at the plant i have access to three or four of these electric pallet jacks. me thinks a motor may have to fall into my lunch box and accidentally go home with me.

Well, since you have two of these old bikes laying around, wouldn't it be tragic if TWO of those motors "fell" into your lunchbox?
