I couldn't find anywhere better to post this so here it goes. I have an 84 k5 blazer with the diesel engine, and I run 5-10% waste motor oil. It's pretty easy to filter, I just do it down to 1 micron with a series of 6 filter bags. Not a ton of free fuel, but its something.
I used to put in my old motor oil (I filtered to 2 micron) in my diesel tank until I went to Veggie Oil. Problem with it now is I dont use eneough diesel, so I end up throwing all the old oil on an old stump by my house or I use it to burn trash fires.
Is it bad that I run vehicles on Propane and Veggie Oil, use wind and solar power, but burn my trash?
